Job Id : 853511 Job Title: S/W Eng NG Internal Sys 4 Start Date: 7/14/10 Duration: 12 month(s) End Date: 7/13/11 Location: CA - San Mateo Roles and Responsibilities: • Design, develop, test, implement and maintain software systems to meet client needs as part of a development team in San Mateo • Support Postal One application - The system is designed for BMEU who have responsibilities creating mail pieces to be processed by the United States Postal Service for mail delivery. • Support both Cold Fusion and Java modules in Postal One • Interface with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications and provide maintenance information ; Produce timely status reports and projections ; Develop and track objectives and schedules ;Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications ;Participate in project planning and management • Define design specifications and parameters; Perform debugging and unit testing of software products; Analyze and investigate major software engineering tasks. • Interface with other departments to participate in specification, design, code and test reviews ,Provide documentation of software products ; Follow and contribute to improvement of the software development process ;Provide timely production support and problem resolution • Be able to assist with WAS deployments and troubleshoot any deployment related issues.; Work in technical environment including: • 1. Websphere 6.1 • 2. RAD 7.5 Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: • Bachelors degree in CS or related Field • 6-8 years experience in complete project life cycle with web and application development • Strong team player with proven Java development skills and strong knowledge of object relational mapping • Ability to contribute to the development of technical design decisions involving software or hardware implementation strategies Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions. • Working knowledge of problem resolution procedures, testing and evaluations methods, programming tools • Expert Knowledge with Cold Fusion (6-8 years) • Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust designation Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration: • 9-10 Years of Java Exp • 9-10 Years of Cold Fusion • 5 Years of WebSphere • 5 years of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL experience Skill/Role Level Years Preference Software Engineer Expert 8.0 Required Java Developer Expert 8.0 Required Oracle Database 10g Intermediate 5.0 Required
